:stop CCBill WMS - old links no longer work?

I was just talking with someone from ccbill support that is telling me that for companies that migrate to WMS the old links won't work anymore.

I have hundreds of such links for some of the sponsors that I won't be able to update easily (automaticaly). Sucks big time but I guess it's better to just pull all the sites/links down rather than trowing away the traffic at non working links

That was my assumption too. I decided to check and got the following back:

Quote:
Dear Affiliate,

Thank you for contacting the Client Support department. My name is *** and I will be helping you today.

When a sponsor migrates to WMS you will need to use a different linking code. However, for a short time the program will exist in both the WMS and Legacy systems. So the old link codes will work during this time. Please take a look at the following documents to help get you started in the WMS system.

My guess is whatever CCBill employee that typed that up will not have a job soon.

I'll have someone from CCBill in here to clear this up in a few.

CCBill Payment Errors

Saw this and I thought I'd throw my hat in and wondered if the problem I'm having with CCBill is related to this. Ever since January, my checks are coming with about 70% less money in them than I've actually earned. My sales still show correctly within CCBill's reporting, but the checks that come are incredibly low -- about 70% light.

I contacted CCBill about it last week. The live-chat help girl said yeah, they were working on it, and that's about it. No way to track the problem or anything. I had a hard time believing that they were gonna try and just leave it at that when we're talking about over $1,000 per week that's being wrongly withheld. So I called the phone support -- and the same chick from chat picked up the phone. She was nice and all, but that wasn't reassuring.

I'm told the issue has been logged under ID #39651, and that "I'll be contacted when it's fixed." Just wondered if anyone else out there is having the same problem. Not real happy about giving CCBill an indefinite, interest-free loan of a few grand.

As a sponsor I was really frustrated when all of those emails were sent to our affiliates making it sound like we pulled a Nats-type conversion. My understanding was that it would run in tandem with the old system, no one would have to change any links, etc. (and the links ARE all still working / affiliates are still making sales) but those "migration" emails really are misleading and undermine confidence.

For over three weeks our checks have been wrong and stats all screwed up, and on top of that the response to my inquiries has been, frankly, fucking retarded or nonexistent. I don't know if they just blow me off because I'm not a huge sponsor or what, but when pressed they tell me it's a "high priority bug" but just a reporting problem which isn't true if our checks are wrong: they're not deducting any money for affiliate payouts.

When I asked them REPEATEDLY in bold faced red type to check and assure me that affiliates are indeed being paid, their responses ranged from ignoring the question to saying that they aren't sure.

Here's some of the bullshit:

An email I sent (after getting really irritated):

Quote:
>
> This time NO affiliate payouts have been deducted from my check for the week starting on 12/13/09.
>
> ARE OUR AFFILIATES BEING PAID?
>
> It would be nice to have some communication on this.
Their response:

Quote:
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we do not have an update on this. We have checked with our Resolution department and they are still looking into the issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Notice how they don't even address the question about affiliates being paid?

So I sent another one:

Quote:
So you aren't able to tell me whether or not our affiliates are being paid for sales they sent us?
Here's the lazy-ass response I got:

Quote:
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately at this time it is not clear if the affiliates are being paid out. Resolution is looking into the issue.
And my response:

Quote:
> Unbelievable. This is the third week with no improvements.
>
> I cannot believe you can't tell whether or not the affiliates are being paid out. You look up the affiliate sales that have been made on our account and other buggy accounts, then you look up the affiliates' stats and payments to see if they're being credited, right? I can't do that, but YOU can, and *should* without someone pressing you to do it or suggesting how it can be done.
And another non-answer:

Quote:
Thank you for your email. This issue was submitted as a high priority bug and is being looked into. As far as we can tell, though, it appears to be a reporting issue only. Please let us know if you have any other questions about this.
And my response:

Quote:
So you aren't able to check whether or not our affiliates are being credited and paid for sales made to our account?

Our checks are wrong so it seems more than a reporting issue only.

I'm happy and all that we're being paid too much instead of too little, but not if our affiliates aren't getting paid.
And they continue to make it sound like it's just beyond the scope of their job description or abilities to figure this out:

Quote:
Thank you for your email. We have no evidence at this time to suggest that the affiliates are not being paid. However, the issue is being looked into. Please let us know if any of your affiliates contact you about an issue or concern.
Yeah! So we should leave it to affiliates to complain about not being paid for sales that they might not even know they're making? Ugh.

I copied [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] on most or all of those emails. This problem has been going on for us since the week starting 12/6/2009.

These aren't even all of the things I've sent and is only one of the issues we've had with ccbill that have been stunningly lame. I've seen how people respond to any complaints about ccbill on the boards though, as being a mix of ungrateful or petty or the kinds of things high-rolling big shots have too much money to complain about so are therefore ridiculous and should be dismissed. Like ccbill is a paragon of virtue that's totally beyond reproach. I don't know how this kind of fuck-up can be excused, though. It's not so much that there's a bug that bothers me, but the ongoing and consistent stupid responses or avoidance of questions or doing the work necessary to properly answer the questions/concerns.

So yeah, I feel obligated out of paranoia that I'll be digitally stoned for posting these complaints to say I've been with ccbill since 2002 and except for a minor mistake with being doublebilled for visa renewal in 2009 (which they promptly fixed), haven't had any problems getting paid accurately (as a sponsor AND as an affiliate) that I know of until now and of COURSE I am extremely grateful that we can rely on ccbill for third party processing and that there's nothing similar to reliably hold a candle to them.

CCBill will add some new pain in the ass to many webmasters, especially to the old webmasters! Why you can't save the old links even for the sponsors migrated to the WMS?

didn't some affiliates just get an email that their sales weren't being tracked since the conversion.

No, sales have always been tracked and will be paid out accordingly. The email had to do with inaccurate calculations on the payouts not the tracking of sales.

Can we have a clarification from ccbill - two have said "old links will still work" but you haven't specified a period. Is this FOREVER or "until enough WMS affiliates have moved over" ?
