The thing with the asian market is that the surfers are not newbies in the same sense we have here. We were brought up on dial up and shit connections and scam artists.

Japanese online community is for the most part extremely honest, customer service is a national pasttime and it carries into the online world and their surfers were brought up on 8mbps DSL and an inclination to use new technologies.

And the HGMO figures are wrong :P

16,000 members at a minimum now. Retention that would give most webmasters a hard on - like 75%...

How to hit the asian markets tho, I am not sure - hire japanese university students to help translate your sites? I dunno. I DO know that most Japanese can read a decent amount of english actually. They just can't speak it

Yes, having the site in Japanese is a plus however it's not totally necessary.

If you make it easy enough to find the join page and have that in Japanese, you may be O.K.

And as Lostmind said, the HGMO figures are way off! HGMO's true figures make some of the most established paysites here seem tiny by comparison.

It probably would not be too hard to find a translator. Just go to your local Yaohan/Mitsuwa/Japanese/Korean/Chinese, etc. grocery store and put up a help wanted sign asking for translator.

I've done a bit of search engine research with respect to the Asian markets. It appears to me that the usual suspects have the market covered, particularly Google in Japan.

I'm of the opinion that the SE market with respect to Asian adult keywords is far from saturated and definitely worth pursuing.

Yah, I am gonna go with mech here. No japanese TGP's really. No japanese hun (maybe Jp-sex?)... all japanese webmaster wants to make $$.. plus it is harder to get japanese content and especially hard to get uncensored stuff....

Since there is less supply, japanese are more willing to spend money to get the goods...

As for the internet ninja and other download tools - did you knwo that hgmo encourages their users to get these tools? It lessons peak period traffic. We also wrote a custom apache mod that limits the daily amount of downloads per user and limits the number of connections to apache per user plus limits the connection speeds.

It works out fairly well.
