A little advice 2 You sponsors, I think you had better give people a place to report spam, if you don't The Goverments of a lot of countries are going to come down on you.
I really don't think it will just be the US either.

I am 100% against sending porn spam (or any UCE) but I am also 100% against kids having their own e-mail accounts and unsupervised access to the internet.

I really think the parents are lazy and doing a very poor job. The internet has turned into a cheap baby sitter for a lot of them.

While I think "kids" shouldn't have Internet access, and parents should watch what their teens are doing online, it is also some of these programs / spammers fault..
While it's not "normally" american / canadian companies, spammers do spam anything.. They buy hacked lists, ripped lists, bs register game sites, etc.. They will send porn spam or any thing else that will pay them money.. I think non-porn spam is worse than the porn spam. It's 10:1, gets through more filters, and normally is a scam. I can filter out "MOST" porn spam.. Parents like the "texas girl" shouldn't be allowed to have Internet Access. If you are to stupid to use a computer then they should take away Internet access. You know she has 500 spyware programs installed and 50 virus'. I'm sure she has every casino software, 8 toolbars, and has an account with every texas bell site on the net. And dateline = morons.. learn to report. The onlything they did correctly was show one of the largest spam companies on the net.

I think it should be the crime of "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" to allow them surf the net unsupervised, as much as it would be to allow them to drink, drive, smoke, or other things intended for adults. Quote:

I don't have a problem with the spam laws. I think it sucks that if you run an adult newsletter that is double opt in you could get nailed if you don't have the correct subject and crap.. But the fact is most aren't real newsletters.

I'm guessing that SpunkFarm has nothing to do with actual beastiality, even though that is what Dateline seemed to imply (of course that is what the makers of SpunkFarm imply as well).
It is a friggin' pop-up farm though...sheesh! I checked Alexa, and traffic for SpunkFarm is up 50% today over their 3 month average. I wonder if Dateline has an affiliate code? Even though I have no affiliates and no spam program, and the only animals on my site are like stuffed unicorns, why couldn't Dateline have given me 20+ plugs on national TV for free...Damn!!! BTW, I thought everyone from the industry was quite polite, even the spammer dude. ADG Webmaster |

agreed! I don't know why people find it so hard to track down who owns sites.. I think a lot of us can point out who owns the site just by the design. Not that he could..

As a webmaster you'll expect 100 plus porn spam each day ,it seems like a definite catch 22 situation. If you were making huge coin from spam would you honestly say you wouldn't do it?And that perhaps "some" sponsors would sweep it under the carpet?..somebody was caught and probably won't be the last

I thought that whole story was hilarious. The way they made it seem like they Aly "admitting" that python owned spunkfarm was something he tricked her into saying...when it is common knowlege that they owned the site..and it never contained any beastiality. The only thing that actually troubled me about it was that python actually gave out the info of one of there webmasters to the media! My heart jumped for a second. I remeber doing some mailing to dollarmachine a few years ago (totally legit of course ;) ). I can't believe they just gave out the guys name and contact info without a court order or anything!

As I said on my board.
Thinking about the Dateline show , I realised this. Not once was there any mention of any illegal activity by either the website operator , nor the mailer. The program was purely a "Moral values" issue. A bunch of Republican "family values" Americans came to Canada to tell a mailer he was a naughty boy. He couldn't and didn't tell him he had broken the law , because as a Canadian , he hadn't. And he was smart enough to go along and take the path of least resistance and say "Yeah sorry bout that" I would have , if he had caught me in a bad mood when I did mail , advised him to combine sex and travel , and fuck off So mailers have few morals? Wow!!! LOL |

I think the reporters being asked to leave the convention was about the worst part of it. It gave credibility to what they were trying to point out about porn sellers
