When i asked AVN rep regarding feedback she was getting from Exhibitors, she said some were good some were bad i am wondering who's were good. Was any exhibitor happy with the show traffic?

Nobody got served.

AVN killed the show. The scheduled it at the same time as surfers, and CES. They talked down to webmasters on board for years now, and webmasters started to get mad at them. They don't listen to us, they do whatever they fucking want, well here it is. The hotel prices were astronomic also.

#1: Alot of people got Priced out.

I got priced out, I am not afraid to admit that.
Big bucks for rooms, big bucks for tickets and then big bucks for just spending money.

Normally I wage 200-300 a night for stay, unless of course my visit to Internext was sponsored. This year actually Latin Cash set me up rooms so that was awesome but last minute decision not to go was made. I canciled the rooms. In most cases rooms were far more expensive this time around.

#2 There were alot of gatherings in 2005, infact I think a record number and I believe many people/sponsors tended several of those thus I am sure they had budgets as well in mind for the year, some made decisions about Internext mid year not to go but instead sponsor small gatherings.

#3 Many predicted to many people would be at Internext, since there were other conferences happening at the same time. To many people means a reckless mad house so I think that factored in as well.

Lastly I do not even know if this would or should be just targeted at AVN. AVN did nothing different than they normally do cept the double shows. But it has been done before. I think in 2002. One thing that was out of control were the smaller gatherings which created a whole new climate in the Internet Adult Companies that I doubt AVN factored in. Or maybe they did factor it in which is why the Internet Showroom floor was somewhat smaller than usual.

I think alot of it was people getting priced out. Most Adult Webmasters make as much as I do, which is not alot but enough to get by with. Being priced out more or less made the Decision on Vegas a no brainer.

LOL there were times when it was a little more crowded than this.................but it did look exactly like this during show hours a few times. Glad we didn't pay for a booth thats for sure.

We chilled at the AFF booth with Sagi for a while which was great and then did a quick lap of the floor. On one whole side of the show we were the only obviously non-booth folks and all eyes were on us. I felt like I was in the street markets in Asia where any second someone would scream "you like this one? you come look! over here! good price! pick me! pick me!"

We were the only Design company on the show floor. We are not a Web Hosting company Specifically, get your facts straight, that is something we offer to our clients as a value added service.

My decision to get a booth, for the Nth time was based on previous experience, and not pulled out of my ASS.

I feel that it was AVN's fault for making bad arrangements for show timing, which was the reason for lack of traffic.

Whether you have a large program or are a starting webmaster, money is money. Being able to throw the big bucks is cool, but if you aren't getting any ROI then what's the point? Have a big booth for no one to show just cause you have the money?!? No...that's just dumb business.

Of course people are gonna get priced out and you make a really good point. I know that AVN tried to fuck people over on bathroom advertisements by upping the price and doing all this funk shit and they finally said no, we don't want to sponsor. Not because they didn't have the money, but because they didn't like you say, want to be priced out.

I have consistantly designed better than Envisionext, I been designing before Envisionext was ever thought of. You think the way I operate on the boards changes anything? It does not.

IAlien is always open for business, we are always looking for more clients and we are 100% adult only client base. Literally over 10 years in the Adult web development industry.

Perhaps my statements should not be looked at as adviserial but sound advice. I stand by my advice. It is stupid for a design company to showcase a booth at any event. There are no two ways about it.

Oh yeah, Like Woa hosting I guess is not one of Stan's strong points. Slap a new label on it but its the same shit.

Hey reject, after 2 years with Envisionext Brand, we have over 25 designers, and 15 programmers. We are consistently used by top brand names in the Adult industry. We produce over 30 projects/month, which is evident by our portfolio (where is yours?!? 9 thumbs don't count.. oh right.. everyone will steal from you )

Guess what idiot, i have been in the industry since 1996, so not 'LITERALY' but ACTUALLY.

We have experience in not only ADULT but also Mainstream, our horizons are not small. We have developed multiple successful software projects as well, and have a few more which will be released this month.

You can keep complaining while your amazing "1 man team, half ass designer who got out because of xpics and now screaming all about it ass, cralws back to the cave you came out from".

Hm.. so yes, i would say 'Betters'.

You could tell by looking at the floor last year things were changing...a lot of companies that normally show didn't show...and I'm sure they weren't there again this year.

A few people keep trying to justify their internext experience this year, making claims that they did plenty of business.

I'm sure they did. You didn't buy a booth and you just networked at parties, you can still get business going.

But imagine spending the 10's of $1,000's those with booths did, and see if you can justify those expenditures when compared to your actual ROI.

Instead of giving shout outs to people you hung out at with parties, you should as a visitor of this lame event be on the phone, or writing emails so this business opportunity will be available to you in the future.
